Ministry of Defence of Singapore seeks a Safety Officer to establish safety policies for the Formation and foster a strong safety culture across command levels. The role ensures tough, realistic, and safe training for soldiers and requires leading safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations.

The position involves developing safety plans, conducting courses, and advising stakeholders on safety strategies to maintain high standards of training safety across units.

Qualifications

• Experience with safety regulations and incident investigations.
• Familiarity with audit frameworks and compliance.
• Strong communication and people skills.
• Ability to advise stakeholders at all command levels.

Responsabilités

• Plan, organise, and evaluate safety efforts including policies and directives.
• Lead the Preparation and management of Safety Audit.
• Conduct safety inspections and enforce standards.
• Carry out investigations for causal factors and trends.
• Deliver internal safety courses and share lessons learned.
• Develop and direct the safety workplan and Army Safety Regulations.
• Submit quarterly safety status reports.
• Chair monthly safety meetings with Unit Safety Officers.
