Job summary

The Singapore Food Agency seeks a regulatory professional to manage licensing, permitting and authorisations for non-retail food businesses. You will assess site layouts and processes, verify compliance, and guide applicants through the requirements to obtain SFA licences.

You will drive process reviews, collaborate with agencies, and develop digital workflows to streamline licensing. A science-related degree and strong communication are essential; HACCP knowledge may be preferred.

Qualifications

A tertiary degree in Food Technology/Food Science/Biology/Biotechnology or related science.
Detail-oriented with initiative and ownership.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Good team player with interpersonal skills for stakeholders.
Candidates with HACCP knowledge or Food Safety Management experience may be preferred.

Responsibilities

Drive licensing processes for non-retail food businesses and conduct site assessments.
Evaluate architectural layouts, process flows and product particulars.
Perform verification checks and advise on licence grant decisions.
Guide applicants on interpretation of licensing requirements.
Attend to public enquiries on licensing matters.
Lead process reviews and digital automation to streamline licensing workflows.
Collaborate with relevant agencies and participate in inter-agency projects.
