Job summary

Singapore Food Agency invites a proactive officer to join the Food Business Department in the Authorisations Division. You will grant licences, permits and other authorisations for primary production, non-retail and retail food establishments, and advise on licensing requirements.

You will guide businesses, conduct site assessments, evaluate layouts and processes, perform verification checks, and help streamline licensing procedures through digital automation and inter-agency collaboration.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and taking initiative.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good team player with well-rounded interpersonal skills to work with stakeholders in the public and private sector.
• Candidates with previous working experience in the food industry and knowledge in HACCP or Food Safety Management System may be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Grant licences, permits and authorisations for primary production, non-retail and retail food establishments, pesticide operations and registration of pesticides.
• Guide food businesses on licensing requirements and processes.
• Drive review, refinement and implementation of efficient licensing processes.
• Conduct site assessments and evaluate architectural layouts and process flows.
• Perform verification checks at premises and provide licensing recommendations.
• Attend to public enquiries on licensing-related matters.
• Contribute to IT-related projects and data analysis for licensing reports.
