Job summary

The Singapore Buddhist Lodge, The is seeking a flower stall assistant in Singapore to handle cashiering, customer service and sales transactions. The role includes stocking, arranging and replenishing flowers and merchandise, while maintaining the stall’s presentation and freshness.

You will assist in ordering and stocking, ensure clean and tidy displays, and support inventory checks in a Buddhist environment. Availability for full-time work and weekend shifts is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum secondary school education or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in floristry or retail sales and customer service is advantageous.
• Basic computer skills and willingness to work in a Buddhist environment.

• Handle cashiering, sales transactions, and provide friendly customer service at the flower stall.


• Assist in ordering flowers, floral materials, plants, and related supplies.


• Prepare, arrange, and replenish flowers, bouquets, floral products, and merchandise based on operational requirements.


• Receive, inspect, label, store, and display flowers and products to ensure freshness, quality, and attractive presentation.


• Assist in stock-taking, inventory control, and monitoring of flower and supply levels.


• Maintain the cleanliness, tidiness, and overall presentation of the flower stall, sales counter, and work areas.


• Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by Management or Supervisor.

Job Requirements

• Minimum secondary school education or equivalent qualification.


• Experience in floristry, retail sales, customer service, or related roles will be an advantage.


• Passionate about flowers and customer service.


• Friendly, responsible, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.


• Able to perform duties in a retail environment, including prolonged standing and handling flowers, supplies, and merchandise.


• Possess basic computer skills.


• Comfortable working in a Buddhist religious environment and supporting activities conducted within such an environment.

Added Advantage 加分条件

• Floral arrangement experience and knowledge of plant care and flower maintenance.


• Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems, e-payment platforms, or retail operations.

Working Arrangement 工作安排

• 5-day work week


• One weekday and one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) off each week


• Required to work on weekends and Public Holidays based on operational requirements
