Job summary

INNOVATIVE CONSTRUCTION & ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced tiler to install and finish tile work on residential and commercial projects. The role requires precise measurement, cutting, and fitting around obstacles, with attention to detail and quality workmanship.

You will prepare surfaces, lay tiles with adhesives, and ensure alignment and durability. Experience with granite or marble finishes and mosaic installations is a plus.

Qualifications

• Patience and precision in tile work.
• Ability to read simple blueprints and measurements.
• Familiarity with tiling tools and materials.

Responsibilities

• Cut tiles and shape them to fit obstacles and corners using power and hand tools.
• Form tile beds using concrete, cement, glue or mortar with screeds and trowels.
• Align tiles and straighten with levels to ensure even patterns.
• Install and finish granite and marble surfaces as required.
• Prepare surfaces with waterproofing material and clean surfaces before tiling.
• Create mosaic designs for kitchens, bathrooms and living areas.
• Tap tiles into place carefully to avoid breaking tiles.
• Follow blueprints and accurately mark surfaces to tile.

Job description

• Being patient and precise

• Able to work well under pressure.
• Cut tiles and shape them properly to ensure they fit around obstacles and in tight corners and odd spaces using power and hand tools
• Form tile beds using concrete, plaster, mastic, cement, glue or mortar utilizing tools such as screeds, brushes and trowels
• Align tiles and straighten them with straightedges, levels and squares to ensure patterns are even and precise
• Cut, install, polish and surface granite and marble and ensure accuracy during the installation process for lasting results
• Prepare various surfaces for tiling with waterproofing material or lath and by cleaning the surfaces properly
• Create decorative wall and floor designs by laying and setting mosaic tiles in kitchens, bathrooms and living rooms
• Tap tiles into place carefully using tools to properly adhere tiles to the base, making sure not to break or damage tiles
• Follow blueprints precisely and mark and measure surfaces that need to be tiled to determine how to go about jobs
