Job summary

SMART PUNJAB ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a skilled tile installer to cut, fit and lay ceramic and natural stone tiles with precision. You will prepare surfaces, align patterns and ensure durable finishes in various rooms.

Responsibilities include waterproofing prep, mosaic designs, and following blueprints to achieve accurate tiling around obstacles and in tight spaces.

Qualifications

• Experience with cutting and shaping ceramic, stone or mosaic tiles.
• Ability to read basic blueprints or drawings for layout and patterns.
• Proficiency in aligning, level checking and precision placement.

Responsibilities

• Cut tiles and shape them to fit around obstacles and tight spaces using power and hand tools.
• Form tile beds using concrete, plaster, mastic, cement, glue or mortar with screeds, brushes and trowels.
• Align tiles and straighten with straightedges, levels and squares for even patterns.
• Cut, install, polish and surface granite and marble with accuracy during installation.
• Prepare surfaces for tiling with waterproofing materials or lath and clean surfaces properly.
• Create decorative wall and floor designs by laying mosaic tiles in kitchens, bathrooms and living rooms.
• Tap tiles into place carefully to adhere to base without breaking tiles.
• Follow blueprints precisely and mark surfaces to determine tiling approach.

Job description

• Cut tiles and shape them properly to ensure they fit around obstacles and in tight corners and odd spaces using power and hand tools.
• Form tile beds using concrete, plaster, mastic, cement, glue or mortar utilizing tools such as screeds, brushes and trowels
• Align tiles and straighten them with straightedges, levels and squares to ensure patterns are even and precise
• Cut, install, polish and surface granite and marble and ensure accuracy during the installation process for lasting results
• Prepare various surfaces for tiling with waterproofing material or lath and by cleaning the surfaces properly
• Create decorative wall and floor designs by laying and setting mosaic tiles in kitchens, bathrooms and living rooms
• Tap tiles into place carefully using tools to properly adhere tiles to the base, making sure not to break or damage tiles
• Follow blueprints precisely and mark and measure surfaces that need to be tiled to determine how to go about jobs.
