Job summary

Firmus Technologies Pty Ltd. seeks a Senior Kubernetes Platform Engineer to own the Kubernetes estate that underpins all products and tenants across the fleet. You will maintain platform lifecycle, perform upgrades, and ensure reliability with automated tooling and guardrails.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership in incident response, federation of guardrails, and collaboration with AI Infrastructure teams to deliver scalable, secure platform solutions. International travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in platform or infra engineering
• Deep Kubernetes experience at fleet scale
• Experience with GPU-enabled Kubernetes
• Proven incident response leadership
• Strong IaC/GitOps practices

Responsibilities

• Owns multi-tenant Kubernetes platform across estate
• Builds fleet-scale tooling and guardrails
• Manages cluster lifecycle: provisioning, upgrades, decommissioning
• Operates control planes and tenant onboarding pipelines
• Ensures security baselines and workload governance
• Mentors junior engineers and writes runbooks
• Leads major incident recovery and post-incident reviews
