Job summary

Firmus Technologies seeks a Senior Kubernetes Platform Engineer to own the estate-wide Kubernetes platform, including the cluster lifecycle, upgrade paths, and multi-tenant isolation. The role emphasizes automation, guarded remediation, and fleet orchestration delivered as code.

You will diagnose faults, write runbooks, and mentor engineers while coordinating with AI Infrastructure to keep production workloads healthy and secure across sites in Australia, Singapore and beyond.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in platform/infrastructure engineering.
• Production Kubernetes on 24/7 environments.
• Experience with multi-tenant or virtual cluster patterns.

Responsibilities

• Own platform lifecycle across fleet, keep clusters healthy and current.
• Automate operations at fleet scale and contribute to platform backlog.
• Manage cluster provisioning, patches, upgrades, and retirement.
• Operate control planes and tenant onboarding/release pipelines.
• Provide expert diagnosis of Kubernetes faults and drive permanent fixes.
• Lead incident response and post-incident reviews.
