Job summary

PERSOL SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a detail-oriented laboratory technician to assist Application Technologists with prototype development, inventory management, and library organization.

You will ensure PPE and consumables are stocked, maintain lab cleanliness, and conduct shelf-life tests to support product development and quality assurance. The role requires a Diploma or equivalent in Food Technology or Food Science, and the ability to work independently within a multicultural team in a lab

Qualifications

• ITE or Diploma in Food Technology, Food Science, or a related field.
• Knowledge of the flavor industry is an advantage.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a multicultural, cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

• Assist Application Technologists with prototype development, project activities, and formula compounding.
• Maintain laboratory inventory of flavors and raw materials, ensuring stock rotation and timely reordering.
• Organize the seasoning and flavor library, and the food service library, for easy access and management.
• Ensure consistent availability of PPE and laboratory consumables.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory to provide a safe working environment.
• Conduct shelf-life and stability tests to support product development and quality assurance.
• Coordinate safe disposal of chemical waste and glass in accordance with safety regulations.
• Assist with the packing, shipping, and documentation of trial samples for accurate and timely deliveries.
• Prepare applications for quality control testing, sampling, and evaluation processes.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to raw materials and finished products.
• Ensure that all laboratory equipment is well-maintained and safe for use.
