Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking an Engineer, Firmware Test to support SSD firmware verification and validation through structured test development and analysis.

You will collaborate with firmware engineers to improve code quality and product reliability, participating in code reviews and documenting findings. The role emphasizes test automation, regression analysis, and cross-functional communication as part of enterprise SSD product development.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. or higher in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science with 2-3 years of test development/validation experience.
• Experience with white-box, grey-box, black-box, boundary and regression testing.
• Familiarity with Git-based workflows and test framework development.
• Knowledge of storage interfaces (PCIe, NVMe) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive firmware verification plans for SSD firmware features.
• Execute white-box,grey-box, system-level tests to verify firmware functionality.
• Analyze regression failures and perform structured root-cause analysis.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve quality and coverage.
• Collaborate with firmware engineers to improve code quality and reliability.
• Maintain documentation of test activities and results.
