Job summary

Zebra Technologies is seeking a firmware/software engineer to analyze, design, develop, and maintain firmware and software for our products and systems in a collaborative team. You will design automated tests, create test plans, and develop documentation while contributing to code reviews and CI/CD improvements.

Ideal candidates will mentor junior members, work with architects to resolve issues, and push for quality improvements through automation and testing within a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and developing automated tests for firmware functionality.
• Familiarity with test plans and test scenarios.
• Experience in code reviews for automated test code.
• Ability to mentor junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Designs and develops automated tests on firmware functionalities that constitute a portion of a larger project.
• Develops test plans describing the approach to test specific firmware functionality.
• Develops documentation for all activities performed.
• Participates in project code reviews for the automated test code.
• Develop test automation tools / improve existing tools & test frameworks.
• Work with Firmware developers to resolve bugs identified in projects.
• Develop / Execute automated and manual software / firmware tests.
• Mentor, coach & lead junior members in the team technically.
