Job summary

Thales in Singapore seeks a Firewall Support Engineer to safeguard company data and systems. You will lead incident response, monitor security events, and manage security infrastructure across firewalls and EDR tools, while collaborating with IT and L3 teams to improve security posture.

The role requires 3+ years in cybersecurity with L2 responsibilities, strong TCP/IP and OS security knowledge, and experience with SIEM/Tenable. On-call duties and a strong compliance mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security or related field.
• 3+ years in cybersecurity with L2/security operations focus.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, Linux/Windows OS, and cloud security concepts.
• Experience with ITSM processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and respond to security incidents escalated from L1.
• Monitor security alerts from SIEM and dashboards.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate pen testing activities.
• Manage security infrastructure incl. firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR/AV, Tokenization, HSM, 2FA, PAM.
• Develop, enforce security policies and documentation.
• Threat hunting to enhance detection capabilities.
• Collaborate with IT, development, and L3 teams; mentor L1 staff.
• Prepare detailed reports and status updates for management and compliance.
• On-call rotation to address critical incidents and ensure minimal downtime.
