Responsibilities include dismantling components, replacing worn parts, maintaining emergency showers and eyewashes, and supporting periodic fire safety inspections.

Qualifications

• Experience inspecting, repairing and testing fire safety equipment.
• Knowledge of inspection, maintenance and testing techniques for fire safety systems.
• Ability to dismantle extinguishers and replace worn parts.
• Familiarity with testing of detectors, sprinklers and fire panels.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and test fire extinguishers and associated equipment.
• Dismantle extinguishers, examine components and replace worn parts.
• Inspect emergency showers and eyewashes.
• Test smoke detectors, sprinklers and dry standpipe systems.
• Assist in fire safety inspections.
• Perform weekly and monthly maintenance testing of critical equipment.
