Job summary

Jurong Port in Singapore is seeking a Fire Protection Maintenance Lead to oversee maintenance, testing and commissioning of fire protection and life safety systems across the port premises. You will coordinate contractors, manage budgets (OPEX/CAPEX) and provide technical guidance to the Facilities Management team, ensuring compliance with SCDF regulations, Fire Code and Singapore Standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Facilities Management with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Facilities Management with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in fire protection system maintenance, testing, commissioning and project management.
• Familiarity with Fire Code, SCDF regulations, Singapore Standards, and fire safety legislation.
• Experience managing contractors, fire system vendors and service providers.
• Knowledge of sprinkler systems, hydrant systems, hose reels, fire alarm systems, fire pumps, gaseous suppression systems and smoke control systems.
• Experience in defect investigation, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis of fire protection systems.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and authorities to execute works with minimal operational impact.
• Possession of FSM certification will be an advantage.
• Possession of a Class 3 Driving Licence will be an added advantage.
• Adaptable, proactive, and service-oriented team player with the ability to multitask, work independently under pressure with minimal supervision, and embrace cross-functional responsibilities and new environments.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement the maintenance programme for fire protection and alarm systems.
• Monitor and audit term contractors to meet SOPs and manuals.
• Plan, schedule and allocate resources for maintenance activities.
• Supervise contractors, supervisors and technicians on maintenance and upgrades.
• Provide technical guidance to Facilities Management team and contractors.
• Execute procurement and contract administration processes.
• Support planning, coordination and execution of fire protection projects.
• Monitor OPEX and CAPEX budgets.
• Maintain 100% serviceability and readiness of life safety systems.
