Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Fire Engineer to develop and apply fire engineering expertise across diverse projects. You will contribute to fire safety strategies, perform analyses with FDS and evacuation modelling, and draft clear technical reports while collaborating with architects, engineers and construction teams.

The role emphasizes planning, design, and assessment of fire protection systems with opportunities to grow knowledge in fire dynamics, smoke control, and human behaviour.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 1 year of hands-on design experience in building and/or infrastructure projects.
• Open to fresh graduates as well keen on doing design in fire protection systems.
• Good project management and technical skills.
• Team player and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to planning, design, and assessment of fire protection systems for buildings and industrial facilities.
• Develop and support fire safety strategies, emergency response planning, fire risk assessments, and compliance reviews.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to integrate fire protection measures into project designs.
• Undertake fire engineering analysis using tools such as Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS) and evacuation modelling software, while preparing clear and structured technical reports.
• Support project delivery through construction inspections, stakeholder communication, quality assurance activities.
