Job summary

NTU Singapore's School of Materials Science and Engineering invites applications for a Project Officer to contribute to the development of fire resistant polymer composites for construction. The role focuses on testing, characterization and improving fire retardancy in materials used in building applications.

You will work in a multidisciplinary team, prepare technical reports and ensure adherence to standards.

Qualifications

Familiarity with fire resistant tests, materials and principles of fire retardancy and resistance.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Good numeric and analytical skills.
Competent in information visualization and interaction design.
Strong interpersonal and time-management abilities.

Responsibilities

Work within the framework of the project to achieve and go beyond the project objectives.
Understand and improve the fire resistance characteristics of polymer composite panels used for construction applications.
Interact and closely work within a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural team.
Display a very high degree of professional ethics.
Maintain high standards for risk assessments and maintenance of lab, equipment or supplies including procurement and liaison with suppliers.
Assist in and produce high quality reports and documents that consolidate research findings.
