Job summary

NTU Singapore's School of Materials Science and Engineering is seeking a Project Officer to develop fire‑resistant polymer composite materials for construction applications. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to understand and enhance fire resistance, while ensuring safety, quality, and timely reporting of research findings.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering or related field, plus at least 1 year of relevant experience and strong communication,

Qualifications

• Bachelor qualification degree in Materials Science and Engineering or related field.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Good numeric and analytical skills.
• Competent in information visualization, interaction design.
• Good interpersonal skills with ability to work independently and meet strict timelines.

Responsibilities

• Work within the framework of the project to achieve and go beyond the project objectives.
• Understand and improve the fire resistance characteristics of polymer composite panels used for construction applications.
• Interact and closely work within a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural team.
• Maintain high standards of professional ethics, risk assessments, and lab equipment maintenance.
• Assist in producing high quality reports and documents that consolidate research findings.
