Job summary
CTCI Singapore Pte. Ltd. is seeking a site-based Fire Protection Supervisor to oversee the installation and testing of active fire protection and firefighting systems in semiconductor, industrial, and EPC projects.
The role requires coordinating with architectural, structural, and MEP services and ensuring compliance with Singapore Fire Code and SCDF standards, with strong ability to read P&IDs and hydraulic schematics. Fluency in English is essential; Mandarin is a plus.
Qualifications
- Diploma or relevant technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Safety, Building Services, or related discipline.
- Experience with fire protection piping, pump sets, and clean agent systems is preferred.
- Bilingual English/Mandarin is advantageous for liaising with inspectors and on-site teams.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and oversee the installation and testing of active fire protection and firefighting systems.
- Oversee installation of sprinkler systems (wet/dry/pre-action), hydrants, hose reels, pumps, storage tanks, Deluge systems and clean agent systems.
- Coordinate fire protection works with architectural, structural, cleanroom, and other MEP services.
- Review fire protection layout drawings, hydraulic calculations, schematics, specifications, and method statements.
- Monitor pipe grooving, threading, welding, hanger/bracing installations, and sprinkler head placements.
- Coordinate hydrostatic testing, pipe flushing, pump flow/pressure tests, and pre-commissioning.
- Coordinate witness inspections with Registered Inspectors (RI), QP, consultants, and prepare for SCDF approvals.
- Coordinate fire interlock and interface testing with Fire Alarm, HVAC smoke extract systems, and electrical tripping controls.
- Monitor defects, punch‑list items, and outstanding works through to completion.
