Job summary

Wong Huat Engineering Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a Fire Protection Engineer to design, plan and coordinate sprinkler, hydrant, wet/dry risers, hose reels and fire alarm systems. You will plot drawings, prepare submissions and coordinate with clients, consultants and authorities to keep projects on schedule.

You will supervise site installation, testing and commissioning, ensure SCDF compliance and read engineering drawings and specs.

Qualifications

• Experience in fire protection systems (sprinkler, risers, alarm).
• Familiar with SCDF requirements and Singapore Standards.
• Ability to read drawings and technical specifications.
• Independent and able to manage multiple projects.
• Site experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan and coordinate fire protection systems on site.
• Plot drawings on site and prepare accurate drawings with drafter.
• Submit Material & Operation Manual (OMM) to consultant or main contractors.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, main contractors and authorities to meet schedule.
• Supervise installation, testing and commissioning of fire protection systems.
• Ensure compliance with SCDF requirements and codes.
• Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues.
• Monitor progress, materials, manpower and schedules.
• Prepare method statements and technical documentation.
• Attend site meetings and provide technical support.
• Provide daily progress updates to Director.

JobResponsibilities

• Design, plan and coordinate fire protection systems, including sprinkler systems, fire hydrant systems, wet risers, dry risers, hose reels, fire alarm system
• Plot drawings on site and coordinate with drafter to prepare drawings accurately
• Material & Operation Manual (OMM) submissions to consultant or main contractors
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, main contractors and relevant authorities on project requirements and make sure project are on schedule, handover timely.
• Supervise site installation, testing and commissioning of fire protection systems.
• Ensure all works comply with Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) requirements, relevant codes of practice and project specifications.
• Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues
• Monitor project progress, material usage, manpower deployment and work schedules.
• Prepare method statements and other technical documentation.
• Attend site meetings and provide technical support to project teams.
• Daily report to Director regarding on site progress and issues

Job Requirements

• Relevant experience in fire protection engineering, sprinkler, dry riser, wet riser, hosereel, fire alarm systems.
• Knowledge of SCDF requirements, relevant Singapore Standards and fire protection regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Attend site meetings, coordination with main con, other trades
• Able to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Candidates with relevant site experience will have an advantage.
