Job summary

CHINA CONSTRUCTION BANK CORPORATION SINGAPORE BRANCH is seeking a software developer to support fintech system development and enhancements, liaising with Head Office teams to deliver practical solutions. The role covers development and maintenance of in-house applications, automation tools, and reporting, with emphasis on SDLC, APIs, databases, and full-stack capabilities.

Mandarin communication is required to liaise with Head Office and Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Software Eng, or data analysis.
• Minimum 3 years in software development or fintech roles.
• Experience in banking/financial industry is an advantage.
• Proficient in Python and Java; frontend with Vue.js/React.js.
• Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies.
• Experience with relational databases, API integration, and Git.
• Good communication and teamwork; Mandarin proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with the Head Office Fintech teams and internal business units to support system development, enhancement, and project delivery.
• Understand complex business requirements and implement practical software solutions accordingly.
• Participate in the development and maintenance of in-house applications, automation tools, and management reporting functions
• Ensure that software specifications, workflows, and processes are documented.
• Any other duties as directed by the Head of Department of the Fintech Department or Branch Management.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field (such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Analysis etc.).
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in software development or fintech-related roles. Banking or financial industry experience will be an advantage. A track record of success in roles related to software development or innovation.
• A strong understanding of the methodologies and principles of software development.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python and Java, as well as frontend frameworks such as Vue.js and React.js. Full-stack development experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with relational databases, API integration, and version control tools.
• Good communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in Mandarin ( listening, speaking , reading and writing) to liaise with Head office colleagues and Mandarin speaking stakeholders
