BDO Singapore is seeking a Financial Services Advisory professional to join our internal audit, risk and compliance practice. You will work with financial services clients across banking, capital markets, insurance and payments, supporting regulatory requirements and control improvements.

The role suits graduates or professionals with 2–6 years of experience, offering exposure to diverse engagements and opportunities for progression within a leading global network.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Law or an equivalent qualification from a reputable university.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• 2 - 6 years relevant experience for experienced hires.
• Candidates with team lead experience will be considered for managerial level.
• Strong academic track record.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English, with strong report writing skills.
• Meticulous, analytical and detail oriented.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership potential.

Responsibilities

• Provide advisory and assurance-related services to financial services clients on regulatory, risk and compliance matter across different industry sectors.
• For regulatory audit, understand the relevant regulatory requirements and perform procedures to assess the relevant regulated requirements and perform procedures to assess regulated financial institutions’ compliance with applicable laws, regulations and guidelines.
• For internal audit, perform procedures to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, conduct regulatory health check on key business areas, recommend control improvements, and assess compliance with policies, procedures, sound business practices and relevant regulatory requirements.
• For outsourced regulatory compliance engagements, understand the requirements for regulatory returns and support the team in preparing and/or reviewing financial institutions' regulatory returns for submission to the regulators.
• Gain exposure to wide range of engagements across different financial services sectors.
• Assist with other engagements or ad hoc projects as required.
