Job summary

You will lead IFRS reporting, budgeting, cash management, and SAP-driven finance transformations, delivering insights to senior management and safeguarding financial governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting with professional qualification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in a Financial Controller or equivalent leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day finance and accounting operations across the Group.
• Lead management accounts, statutory reports, and IFRS compliance.
• Coordinate month-end and year-end closings including audits.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting and financial planning with the Finance Director.
• Analyse P&L variance and provide actionable business insights.
• Prepare reports, dashboards and presentations for senior leadership.
• Manage cash flow forecasting and liquidity; optimise working capital.
• Maintain internal controls, policies and governance practices.
• Partner with management on budgeting, cost optimisation and performance.
• Support SAP-driven finance transformations and ERP enhancements.
• Contribute to strategic projects and cross-functional initiatives.

We are seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to oversee the company's financial operations and ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and effective financial planning. Reporting to the Finance Director, this role partners closely with business leaders to support strategic decision-making and drive operational excellence across the Group.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Operations & Reporting

• Oversee the day-to-day finance and accounting operations across the Group.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of management accounts, financial statements, and statutory reports in compliance with IFRS and local regulatory requirements.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing activities, including audit coordination.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes in collaboration with the Finance Director.
• Analyse financial performance, including P&L variance analysis, and provide insights to support business decisions.
• Prepare management reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership.

Cash Flow & Treasury

• Manage cash flow forecasting and liquidity to support business operations.
• Monitor banking and investment accounts, including reconciliations.
• Provide recommendations to optimise working capital and cash management.

Controls & Compliance

• Maintain effective internal controls, financial policies, and governance practices.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, and corporate policies.
• Support risk management initiatives and identify opportunities to strengthen financial controls.

Business Partnering

• Partner with Management and department heads on budgeting, cost optimisation, and business performance.
• Evaluate the financial impact of strategic initiatives, investments, and commercial decisions.
• Support legal and contractual financial matters where required.

Process Improvement

• Drive continuous improvement in finance processes, systems, and reporting.
• Support ERP enhancements and finance transformation initiatives, including SAP.
• Participate in strategic projects and other assignments as directed by the Finance Director.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline. ACCA, CA, CPA, or equivalent professional qualification required; MBA is an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Financial Controller or similar finance leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and statutory compliance.
• Experience managing cash flow, financial analysis, and business partnering.
• Hands-on experience with SAP ERP systems and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical, communication, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, independent, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
