Job summary

BUSINESS EDGE PERSONNEL SERVICES PTE LTD is seeking a Hands-on Finance Manager to oversee finance and accounting operations for manufacturing entities and service centres.

You will supervise a small finance team, ensure accurate reporting, sub-group consolidation, inventory accounting, compliance, internal controls, and statutory audits while partnering with business leaders and supporting the Financial Controller.

Job description

Hands-on Finance Manager overseeing finance and accounting operations for manufacturing entities and service centre, supervise a small finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting, sub-group consolidation, inventory accounting, compliance, internal controls and statutory audits, while partnering with business leaders and supporting the Financial Controller.

• Review and oversee accounting activities performed by the GL Executive, AR Officer, and AP Officer to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing, management reporting, sub-group consolidation, and balance sheet reviews.

• Oversee inventory accounting, costing, stock provisions, cash flow, and working capital management.
• Coordinate statutory audits, tax compliance, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Partner with Department Heads to develop annual budgets, forecasts, and operational targets.
• Analyze financial performance against budgets, forecasts, and recommend corrective actions and improvement initiatives.
• Monitor revenue and cost drivers, providing insights to enhance profitability, operational efficiency, and risk management.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Support the preparation of management, board, and investor reporting materials, providing financial analysis and business insights.
• Drive process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and enhance finance reporting tools and systems.
• Coach and develop finance team members while remaining actively involved in day-today finance operations. Support the Financial Controller on group reporting, strategic initiatives and other ad-hoc assignments.

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting/ Business Management / Finance ore related field with 7+ years of Finance and accounting experience.
• Strong hands on experience in financial reporting, consolidation, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis, preferably within manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and financial modelling skills with high attention to detail
• Effective communicator with the ability to work closely with internal and external stakeholders.
• Independent, proactive, and capable of leading a small finance team while supporting the Financial Controller.
