Job summary

UMS SYSTEMS PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced accounting/finance professional to manage costing, budgeting, and monthly closings in a dynamic environment in Singapore.

You will set standard costs, analyze variances, and produce costing reports while maintaining internal controls and supporting audits. Collaboration with cross‑functional teams and accuracy in financial data are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• CPA or ACCA certification preferred.
• 4+ years of accounting or finance experience.
• Strong tax and accounting knowledge.
• Proficiency in accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Experience with EPICOR or Microsoft BC365 is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data analysis and reporting.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare costings and financial statements accurately and on time.
• Set standard costs for products and compute monthly variances.
• Analyze cost variance and prepare costing reports.
• Analyze revenue and costs; support operations reviews to improve manufacturing.
• Maintain internal control systems in line with governance.
• Maintain fixed assets register.Assist in inventories counts quarterly/annually.
• Monitor inventory levels to optimize holding costs.
• Perform month-end closing and generate management reports.
• Assist budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Handle other duties as assigned by Manager.

Job Description

• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of costing of product operations reports & financial statements
• Key cost accounting work including periodic setting of standard costs for products and calculation of monthly variance
• To perform analysis in cost variance and prepare costing reports
• Analyse revenue, cost and actively participate in reviews to improve manufacturing operations within the group
• Maintenance of internal control systems in compliance with corporate governance
• To maintain the fixed assets register
• Assist in yearly/ quarterly inventories count
• Work closely with the respective personnel to monitor and control inventory holding to achieve optimal levels
• To perform month-end closing and generate reports for management
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting reports
• Support internal & external audit
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by Manager

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field
• Professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or ACCA is preferred
• 4+ years of experience in accounting or finance
• Good technical knowledge in tax and accounting
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices and procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Experience in EPICOR/ Microsoft BC365would be an added advantage
