Job summary

Arup, a leading global design and engineering firm, is seeking an APAC regional role in the CFO office focused on data and technology enabled initiatives across APAC Finance. The role will improve efficiency, standardisation and strengthen Finance as a strategic partner, with hands-on data work and analytics across multiple sources.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Finance, data and analytics.
• Hands-on data capability, including preparing, manipulating, analysing and interpreting data from multiple sources.
• Experience with advanced Excel, Power Query, SQL and Power BI.
• Strong understanding of Finance, commercial and business processes.
• Excellent communication and data storytelling, with stakeholder engagement.
• Experience using automation, analytics, AI or other digital technologies to improve processes.

• Use data and analysis to define business problems, identify opportunities and support evidence‑based decision‑making.
• Work hands‑on with data from multiple sources, including preparing, combining, validating and analysing information to address Finance and business questions.
• Identify manual or inefficient Finance processes and develop practical automation and digital solutions to improve efficiency.
• Support Finance strategy and transformation initiatives from initial problem definition through to implementation and benefits tracking.
• Apply analytics, automation, AI and other digital capabilities where they can improve Finance or business outcomes.
• Translate complex data into clear insights, presentations and recommendations for Finance and business stakeholders.

Is this role right for you?

• 5+ years of relevant experience across Finance, data and analytics, with a strong track record of translating business problems into practical, technology-enabled solutions.
• Strong hands‑on data and analytical capability, including experience preparing, manipulating, analysing and interpreting data from multiple sources.
• Experience with relevant data and analytical tools such as advanced Excel, Power Query, SQL, Power BI or similar technologies.
• Sound understanding of Finance, commercial and business processes, with the ability to use data to support both Finance improvement and wider business decision‑making.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to identify drivers and root causes and turn analysis into meaningful business insights.
• Experience using automation, analytics, AI or other digital technologies to improve processes or solve business problems.
• Experience supporting business improvement and transformation initiatives.
• Excellent communication, presentation and data‑storytelling skills, together with strong stakeholder engagement capability.
