Job summary

Coinhako is seeking a Finance Operations Specialist to support the day‑to‑day operations of its digital‑asset business in Singapore.

You will handle asset reconciliation, trade settlement, safeguarding controls, operational reporting, issue resolution, and process improvement, collaborating with Trading, Finance, Compliance, Technology, Risk and external counterparties to ensure accuracy, security and timeliness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Operations, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in operations, settlements, reconciliation, treasury, custody, brokerage, financial services, fintech, or digital assets.
• Strong understanding of transaction lifecycles, reconciliations, asset safeguarding, and operational controls.
• Familiarity with digital-asset wallets, blockchain transactions, cryptocurrency exchanges, custodians, and fiat payment processes is preferred.
• Awareness of the Singapore regulatory environment and MAS requirements applicable to digital-payment-token or digital-asset businesses is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily operational activities and ad hoc assignments from the reporting manager, ensuring adherence to SOPs, internal controls, SLAs, and quality standards.
• Perform daily reconciliation of assets across wallets, custodians, exchanges, banks and internal ledgers.
• Investigate reconciliation breaks and discrepancies and coordinate with teams/counterparties for timely resolution.
• Facilitate timely settlement of digital-asset and fiat transactions with exchanges, custodians, liquidity providers, banks, and counterparties.
• Monitor pending deposits, withdrawals, transfers and settlements, escalating delays or unusual transactions.

Job description

The Finance Operations Specialist supports the day-to-day operations of the company’s digital-asset business.The role is responsible for asset reconciliation, trade settlement, safeguarding controls, operational reporting, issue resolution, and process improvement. The successful candidate will work closely with Trading, Finance, Compliance, Technology, Risk, and external counterparties to ensure that operational activities are completed accurately, securely, and on time.

What you'll be doing:

• Coordinate daily operational activities and ad hoc assignments from the reporting manager, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures, internal controls, service-level expectations, and quality standards.

• Perform daily reconciliation of the company’s and clients’ digital assets, fiat balances, receivables, payables, and other relevant assets and liabilities across wallets, custodians, exchanges, banks, and internal ledgers.

• Investigate reconciliation breaks and balance discrepancies, identify their root causes, and coordinate with the relevant teams or counterparties to ensure timely resolution.

• Facilitate the timely and accurate settlement of digital-asset and fiat transactions with exchanges, custodians, liquidity providers, banks, and other counterparties.

• Monitor pending deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and trade settlements, escalating delayed, failed, or unusual transactions in accordance with established procedures.

• Support the proper segregation and safeguarding of client assets in accordance with applicable Monetary Authority of Singapore requirements, internal policies, and regulatory obligations.

• Maintain accurate operational records and supporting documentation to provide a clear audit trail for transactions, reconciliations, approvals, and exception handling.

• Prepare accurate and timely reports covering operational accounts, asset positions, transaction activity, reconciliation exceptions, settlement status, and key operational metrics.

• Address day-to-day operational issues and incidents, working with Technology, Trading, Finance, Compliance, Risk, Customer Support, and other relevant departments to achieve prompt resolution.

• Escalate material discrepancies, control failures, settlement risks, and operational incidents to the appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner.

• Facilitate clear communication and effective information flow between the Operations team and other departments to support seamless collaboration and coordinated decision-making.

• Assist with the development, documentation, implementation, and periodic review of operational procedures, controls, checklists, and contingency plans.

• Identify operational risks, control gaps, and opportunities for process improvement, and implement practical solutions to improve accuracy, efficiency, scalability, and resilience.

• Participate in operational risk assessments, internal and external audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory reporting exercises, where required.

• Contribute to projects involving workflow automation, system integration, data analytics, and the responsible deployment of artificial intelligence within operational processes.

• Assist with testing, validating, and implementing new systems, products, custody arrangements, trading venues, and operational workflows.

• Monitor the effectiveness of automated processes and ensure that appropriate review, approval, exception-management, and human-oversight controls remain in place.

• Stay informed about developments in digital-asset markets, blockchain transactions, custody practices, settlement infrastructure, and relevant regulatory requirements.

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Operations, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

• Relevant experience in operations, settlements, reconciliation, treasury, custody, brokerage, financial services, fintech, or digital assets.

• Strong understanding of transaction lifecycles, reconciliations, asset safeguarding, and operational controls.

• Familiarity with digital-asset wallets, blockchain transactions, cryptocurrency exchanges, custodians, and fiat payment processes is preferred.

• Awareness of the Singapore regulatory environment and MAS requirements applicable to digital-payment-token or digital-asset businesses is advantageous.

• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.

• Ability to investigate discrepancies systematically and manage multiple time-sensitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external counterparties.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets; experience with SQL, data-visualisation tools, workflow automation, or AI-enabled tools is an advantage.

• High level of integrity and sound judgment when handling client assets, confidential information, and sensitive transactions.
