Job summary

Impact Investment Exchange (Asia) Pte Ltd seeks an AVP/VP, Finance to lead financial reporting, planning, treasury and controls across the IIX group and SPVs. Qualifications

• Degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline; professional qualification preferred.
• At least 6 years of experience in audit, financial and management accounting roles.
• Ability to act independently and execute sound judgment.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting standards, accounting principles and statutory regulations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of timely management accounts, statutory financial statements, tax filings, and audits for IIX group entities and SPVs.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax requirements, and internal policies; manage auditors and tax agents.
• Prepare financial reports and documentation for investors, lenders, donors, government agencies, and stakeholders.
• Prepare monthly performance reports with variance analysis and forecasts for head office and business units.
• Assess revenue pipelines, expenditures, funding needs, and financial risks; provide clear analysis to senior management.
• Manage cash flow forecasts, bank accounts, payments, receivables, and intercompany balances across the group.
• Coordinate with banks, trustees, agents, and counterparties for financing vehicles and reporting.

Job description

We are seeking an AVP/VP, Finance to lead financial reporting, planning, treasury, and controls across the IIX group and its special purpose vehicles (SPVs). The role oversees internal and outsourced finance teams and works closely with business units, portfolio teams, and external transaction parties.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Reporting and Compliance
   • Lead the preparation of timely and accurate management accounts, statutory financial statements, tax filings, and audits for IIX group entities and SPVs.
   • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax requirements, and internal policies. Manage relationships with auditors, tax agents, and other finance service providers
   • Prepare financial reports and supporting documentation for investors, lenders, donors, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
2. Financial Planning and Analysis
   • Prepare monthly performance reports, including budget variance analysis and forecasts for the head office and business units.
   • Work with business unit leads to assess revenue pipeline, expected expenditure, funding needs, and financial risks; provide clear analysis to senior management.
3. Treasury and Financial Operations
   • Manage cash flow forecasts, bank accounts, payments, receivables, and intercompany balances across the group.
   • Manage financial operations for financing vehicles, including payment calculations, reconciliations, reserve accounts, redemptions, and reporting to transaction parties.
   • Track financing obligations and deadlines, and coordinate with banks, trustees, agents, and other counterparties.
4. Controls and Transaction Support
   • Maintain effective financial controls and improve finance processes as the group’s activities and entities grow.
   • Work with portfolio teams on the financial impact of borrower repayments, arrears, restructurings, and recoveries, including provisions (ECL) and audit documentation.
   • Maintain financial records for loans, grants, guarantees, and first loss arrangements, and support related claims, calculations, and stakeholder reporting.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline. A professional accounting qualification is preferred.
• At least 6 years of relevant experience in audit, financial and management accounting roles.
• Ability to act independently and execute sound judgment.
• Good understanding of financial reporting standards, accounting principles and statutory regulations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications especially Excel.
• Independent and self-driven with the ability to multi-task and meet tight timelines.
• Meticulous, analytical, innovative and self-motivated team player.
• Experience with Quickbooks would be advantageous.
