Job summary

direct search asia pte. ltd. in Singapore is seeking an experienced Finance professional to manage GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, inventory and intercompany transactions. You will lead monthly and annual closings, deliver financial and management reports, and ensure compliance with SFRS and regulatory requirements.

The role covers tax, transfer pricing, treasury management, and group consolidation, with a focus on strengthening internal controls and providing team leadership.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or Finance with professional qualification advantageous.
• Audit experience 2–3 years and 5+ years accounting, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
• Strong knowledge of SFRS, statutory reporting and technical standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, inventory, cash management and intercompany transactions.

• Support tax compliance including ECI, tax filings and transfer pricing; liaise with tax consultants.

• Maintain internal controls and governance; update policies and SOPs.
• Provide leadership to the finance team and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Reporting

Manage the full spectrum of accounting activities, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), fixed assets, inventory, cash management, and intercompany transactions. Lead monthly and annual closing processes, prepare financial and management reports, and provide support on technical accounting matters.

Statutory & Regulatory Compliance

Ensure adherence to Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), Companies Act requirements, GST regulations, and other statutory obligations. Coordinate external audits, prepare statutory financial statements, and oversee regulatory submissions.

Tax & Transfer Pricing

Support corporate tax compliance, including Estimated Chargeable Income (ECI), tax filings, and transfer pricing requirements. Liaise with external tax consultants on tax-related matters and regulatory developments.

Treasury & Cash Management

Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital requirements. Oversee bank reconciliations, banking activities, and maintain effective relationships with financial institutions.

Group Consolidation

Assist in group consolidation activities, including intercompany reconciliations, consolidation adjustments, and elimination entries to ensure accurate financial reporting across entities.

Internal Controls & Governance

Enhance and maintain internal control frameworks, ensuring compliance with corporate policies, approval authorities, and governance standards. Develop and improve accounting policies, procedures, and finance-related SOPs.

Team Leadership

Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team by allocating responsibilities, reviewing deliverables, fostering accountability, and driving operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as CA Singapore, ACCA, or equivalent is advantageous.
• Minimum 2–3 years of audit experience and more than 5 years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
• Strong knowledge of SFRS, statutory reporting, and technical accounting standards.
• Proven experience in group consolidation, intercompany accounting, and multi-entity environments.
• Good understanding of Singapore tax regulations, GST, Companies Act requirements, and transfer pricing principles.
• Proficient in ERP systems such as SAP, Dynamics 365, Oracle, or similar platforms, with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
