Job summary

Assistant Manager, Finance (AISG) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Singapore partners with the Office of Finance and NTU Shared Services to ensure policy compliance and alignment with the university’s mission. AISG supports use-inspired research and talent development in AI across NTU and Singapore.

The role manages non-grant finance operations, including payments, invoicing, and fixed assets, and supports financial planning for collaborations and gifts while liaising with researchers

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in finance operations.
• Basic understanding of research grant administration and compliance; grant claims experience is a plus.
• Able to liaise confidently with researchers, Schools/Centres, and collaborators on financial matters.
• Detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple deadlines and high volumes.
• Team-oriented, responsive, and able to escalate issues to senior finance staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage non-grant related finance operations for AISG including payments, invoicing, and fixed assets.
• Support financial planning and monitoring of educational and research collaborations and gifts.
• Ensure accurate and timely payments.
• Review and follow up on outstanding fund receipts.
• Handle inquiries from collaborators or trainees related to financial issues.
• Support management in financial reporting and audit issues.
