Job summary

LIFE SCC LTD. in Singapore is seeking a hands-on Finance Manager to lead controllership and daily accounting operations across two studentcare centres.

You will own AR/AP/GL, drive month-end close, and push a finance transformation journey to modernise systems, strengthen controls, and implement automation.

The role requires a degree or professional qualifications, at least 5 years in accounting, and a proactive, stakeholder‑minded approach to improve processes.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Accountancy, or professional qualifications such as CA (Singapore) or ACCA.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, controllership (AR/AP/GL), and financial management.
• Experience upgrading legacy software, automating tasks, or refining internal controls is highly preferred.
• Prior experience in education/student care sector is a strong advantage.
• Strong analytical mindset, proactive problem-solver, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-spectrum core accounting including AR, AP, and GL.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing, reporting, budgeting, and cash flow.
• Review workflows to reduce manual inefficiencies and modernise finance operations.
• Lead selection, migration, and implementation of automated accounting and billing systems.
• Design and enforce internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Streamline fee collection, invoicing, and vendor payments through digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Controllership: Manage full-spectrum coreaccounting functions including Accounts Receivable (AR) for student fees,Accounts Payable (AP) for vendors, and General Ledger (GL) maintenance.
• Closing & Reporting:Oversee accurate month-end and year-end closing, financial reporting,budgeting, and cash flow management.
• Process Optimisation: Reviewexisting workflows to eliminate manual inefficiencies and modernise financialoperations.
• Systems Transformation: Leadthe selection, migration, and implementation of automated accounting softwareand student billing systems.
• Internal Controls: Design andexecute robust internal control frameworks to safeguard assets and ensureregulatory compliance across both locations.
• Automation: Streamline feecollection, invoicing, and vendor payments through digital solutions.

Job Requirements

• Qualifications: Degree/Diploma in Accountancy, orprofessional qualifications such as CA (Singapore) or ACCA.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 yearsof relevant experience in accounting, controllership (AR/AP/GL), and financialmanagement.
