Job summary

Delton Marine Pte Ltd is seeking a hands-on Finance Manager to own financial operations during a transition. You will rebuild the General Ledger, design SOPs for payables/receivables, payroll, and expenses, and enforce internal controls to ensure data integrity.

You will also develop costing models, analyze project profitability, forecast cash flow, and drive rolling budgets. A strong leader will mentor the accounts team and partner with executives to drive growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a senior accounting or finance role.
• Experience cleaning up disorganized accounts or setting up a finance department from zero.
• Expert proficiency in accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, or ERPs) and advanced Excel.
• Degree in Finance/Accounting; CPA/ACCA/CA or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to explain complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders, work independently, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Audit and reconstruct historical accounts to resolve data gaps and fix discrepancies in the General Ledger.
• Design and implement clear SOPs for accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and expense management.
• Enforce internal controls and checks to eliminate financial risks and ensure data integrity.
• Build accurate costing models from scratch to track labor, parts, materials and overheads.
• Deliver project profitability analysis to uncover cost-saving opportunities and reduce waste.
• Formulate rolling cash flow forecasts to optimize liquidity and working capital.
• Lead annual budgeting and conduct monthly variance analyses (Actual vs. Budget).
• Serve as strategic partner to executives, translating financial data into actionable business insights.
• Manage and mentor the accounts team with daily leadership, training, and performance oversight.

What We Are Looking For System Builder: Someone who can start from scratch, untangle historical accounts, and fix discrepancies in the General Ledger.

Process Architect: A leader to design and implement clear Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for daily financial workflows.

Team Mentor: A guide who can provide clear mentorship to our current accounts staff and elevate team performance.

Proactive Strategist: An expert who can move the company from a reactive state to a data-driven, forward-looking organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Audit and reconstruct historical accounts to resolve data gaps, rectify discrepancies, and establish a bulletproof General Ledger.

• Design and implement rigorous Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and expense management.
  
• Enforce internal controls and checks-and-balances to eliminate financial risks and guarantee data integrity.

• Build accurate costing models from scratch to precisely track labor, parts, materials, and operational overheads.
  
• Deliver project profitability analysis regularly to uncover cost‑saving opportunities and minimize financial waste.
  
• Formulate rolling cash flow forecasts to optimize operational liquidity and working capital.

• Spearhead annual budgeting and conduct robust monthly variance analysis (Actual vs. Budget) to keep operations on track.

• Serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership, translating complex financial data into actionable insights for business growth.
  
• Manage and mentor the existing accounts team, providing daily leadership, training, and performance oversight.

Job Required Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 5 years above in a senior accounting or finance role. Experience in Marine, Construction, or Engineering is preferred.

• Proven track record of cleaning up disorganized accounts or setting up a finance department from zero.

• Expert proficiency in accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, or ERPs) and advanced Excel.

• Minimum Degree in Finance/Accounting. Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent) is preferred.

• Ability to explain complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders, complete tasks independently, strong initiatives and complete assigned tasks within time frame.

• Preferred candidate who can start work in short notice.
