Job summary

JonDavidson Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a Finance Manager for a non-profit organization to oversee accounts and financial reporting across the entity and related parties. You will coordinate annual audits, budgeting, and regulatory submissions, and present reports to the Finance Board.

Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring accurate responses to finance-related inquiries, and foster strong relationships with auditors, banks, regulators and stakeholders, with emphasis on Singapore charity

Qualifications

• Five to seven years of relevant accounting and finance experience, including responsibility for full sets of accounts and budgeting.
• Experience leading or supervising a finance team, reviewing its work and developing staff capabilities.
• Able to present financial matters clearly and work with senior office-holders, auditors, banks and regulators.
• Experience in charity, non-profit or church sector and familiarity with Singapore charity reporting would be an advantage.

Finance Manager

Organization: A non-profit organization

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the accounts and financial reporting of the organization and its related entities and present the financial reports to the Finance Board.
• Manage the annual audit, budget and regulatory submissions, working with the relevant office-holders, auditors and regulators.
• Lead and develop the finance team by strengthening staff skills, improving performance and preparing them to take on greater responsibility, so that the team can effectively support the Diocese as a whole.
• Oversee the administration of the Diocese’s arrangements with parishes and other stakeholders through the required reporting, coordination and follow-up.
• Serve as the main point of contact for finance-related enquiries and ensure that accurate and complete responses are provided.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Accountancy or a recognised professional accounting qualification. Candidates with a related degree and strong relevant accounting experience may also be considered.
• Five to seven years of relevant accounting and finance experience, including responsibility for full sets of accounts, financial reporting, annual audits and budgeting.
• Experience leading or supervising a finance team, reviewing its work and developing staff capabilities.
• Able to present and explain financial matters clearly, and to work effectively with senior office-holders, auditors, banks, regulators and other stakeholders.
• Experience in the charity, non-profit or church sector, including familiarity with Singapore charity reporting requirements, would be an advantage but is not essential.
