Job summary

STAR ALLIANCE SHIPBROKER PTE. LTD. is seeking a seasoned finance professional to lead the accounting function across multiple entities in Singapore.

You will oversee month-end closes, consolidate group results, and ensure robust internal controls and reporting. The role requires 5+ years of relevant experience, professional qualifications, and strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, and treasury management.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant finance and accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, and treasury management.
• Experience in group accounting, consolidation, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Familiarity with Xero, SAP, Oracle or similar ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple entities.

Responsibilities

• Manage full set of accounts and oversee month-end and year-end closes.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Handle budgeting, cash flow forecasting, treasury, and banking matters.
• Prepare and review group consolidation, intercompany reconciliations, and related-party transactions.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore accounting standards, corporate tax, GST, CPF, and statutory requirements.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, banks, company secretaries, and regulatory authorities.
• Monitor financial performance and provide analysis to support business decisions.
• Establish and improve accounting processes, internal controls, and finance procedures.
• Supervise and support finance team members.
