Job summary

HRnetOne seeks a strategic Finance Director/Head of Finance to lead regional finance across multiple manufacturing sites. The role focuses on costing, plant profitability, and operational performance, partnering with senior leadership to improve margins and cash flow.

The candidate will drive standard costing, product costing, and overhead efficiency while nurturing a high-performance finance team and robust internal controls across Singapore, Malaysia, China, and Vietnam.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Finance Director, Head of Finance, or Financial Controller in a manufacturing environment.
• Expertise in manufacturing costing, plant finance, gross margin, inventory, working capital, and cash management.
• Experience leading regional finance teams and finance transformation initiatives.
• Strong commercial and business partnering skills with the ability to influence operational decisions.
• Willingness to travel regionally (Singapore, Malaysia, China, Vietnam).

Responsibilities

• Act as key finance partner to the Managing Director and senior leadership team.
• Drive profitability, gross margin improvement, cost efficiency, cash generation, and working capital performance.
• Lead treasury, cash-flow forecasting, liquidity planning, banking relationships, and financing activities.
• Drive standardization, centralization, process improvement, and a strong One Finance Team culture.
• Oversee regional finance transformation, systems implementation, reporting improvements, and internal controls.

Job description

• Lead finance across multiple manufacturing sites, with strong focus on costing, plant profitability, and operational performance.
• Drive improvements in standard costing, product costing, manufacturing variances, productivity, yield, scrap, and overhead efficiency.
• Partner with operations and supply chain to improve inventory management, production efficiency, and cost control.
• Provide clear visibility on product, customer, and site-level profitability.

Strategic Finance & Business Partnering

• Act as the key finance partner to the Managing Director and senior leadership team.
• Drive profitability, gross margin improvement, cost efficiency, cash generation, and working capital performance.
• Provide financial insights for pricing, investment, capacity expansion, and strategic business decisions.
• Lead treasury, cash-flow forecasting, liquidity planning, banking relationships, and financing activities.
• Drive improvements in inventory turns, receivables, payables, and cash conversion cycle.
• Strengthen cash-flow management and financial discipline across the organization.
• Ensure business decisions balance profitability, cash generation, and long-term financial sustainability.

Regional Finance Leadership

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Finance Director, Head of Finance, or Financial Controller in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong background in precision engineering, industrial, or component manufacturing.
• Deep expertise in manufacturing costing, plant finance, gross margin, inventory, working capital, and cash management.
• Experience leading regional finance teams and finance transformation initiatives.
• Strong commercial and business partnering skills with the ability to influence operational decisions.
• Hands-on, commercially minded, and results-oriented leadership style.
• Regional travel across Singapore, Malaysia, China, and Vietnam will be required.
