Job summary

Accountant-General's Department (AGD) invites applications for a role in Finance Data & Analytics (FDA). You will contribute to Fi@Gov by delivering analytics and AI projects, improve finance data products, and promote adoption across the public sector.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in accountancy, business analytics, information systems, computer science, data science, economics, business, public policy or related field.
• At least 2 years' relevant analytics, product delivery, business analysis or stakeholder engagement experience.
• Ability to work independently with data, identify trends and communicate findings clearly.
• Working knowledge of SQL, databases, statistics, ML concepts and BI/visualisation tools.
• Interest in public finance and internal audit and in analytics, AI and digital solutions.
• Experience translating user requirements into product or data enhancements is advantageous.
• Familiarity with generative AI tools or related technologies is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Understand users and drive adoption by engaging stakeholders across the public sector.
• Improve analytics products by developing dashboards, onboarding datasets and improving data quality.
• Assist in evaluating and prototyping AI and advanced analytics for use cases.
• Contribute to strategic planning and studies for Fi@Gov evolution.
