Job summary

Mercedes-Benz Singapore is seeking a Finance & Controlling Intern to support the Legal Entity Controlling team with financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and process improvements in a multinational environment.

You will assist in monthly reports, budget planning, data validation, and basic variance analyses, while gaining hands-on experience with Excel, reporting tools, and SAP within a regional, cross-functional setting.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Interest in financial reporting, controlling, and process improvement.
• Knowledge of SAP or financial systems is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and management presentations.
• Support budget planning and forecast activities by collecting, consolidating, and validating data.
• Maintain cost center tracking files and assist with basic variance analysis.
• Prepare reports and dashboards using Excel and other reporting tools.
• Support month-end closing activities and financial data reconciliation.
• Assist in maintaining internal control documentation and tracking audit evidence.
• Update process documentation, reporting templates, and finance records.
• Support finance-related projects, process improvement initiatives, and ad hoc assignments.
