Job summary

PERSOL Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking an Assistant Manager, Finance on a 1-year contract. The role is based at Nanyang Avenue, Singapore, with monthly salary between S$5,500 and S$7,500.

Responsibilities include budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and cash flow management for the school and university priorities. The ideal candidate has over five years in FP&A and controllership, strong analytical and communication skills, and proficiency in SAP and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accountancy/Finance or equivalent professional qualifications.
• Chartered Accountant or equivalent qualification would be beneficial.
• Comfortable operating in a matrix structure and in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently and collaboratively within the team.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective interpersonal relationships at all levels.
• Strong analytical thinking and communication skills both written and verbal.
• Able to handle high volume and multiple stakeholders across all levels in the organisation.
• Able to balance attention to detail while maintaining strong understanding of broader strategic objectives.
• Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines and drive projects to completion.
• More than 5 years of experience in a combination of Financial Planning & Analysis and Controllership.
• Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc.).
• Good knowledge of SAP system.
• Good knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, Ariba system would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Partner with academic and administrative stakeholders to provide financial advice and support data-driven decision-making.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities, ensuring alignment with School and University priorities.
• Monitor financial performance, analyse variances, and identify risks and opportunities to enhance financial outcomes.
• Oversee revenue management and receivables processes to ensure timely revenue recognition, effective collections, and strong cash flow management.
• Review funding and budget requests, evaluate business cases, and provide recommendations to support management decisions.
• Prepare management reports and financial analyses, translating complex financial information into actionable insights for stakeholders.
• Maintain effective financial operations and governance by supporting procurement, payments, asset management, financial closing, audit activities, and compliance with University policies and controls.
• Support Finance Business Partner in any other matters
