Job summary

Sembcorp, a leader in energy and urban solutions, invites a Finance Analytics professional to join the finance function in Singapore. The role emphasizes reporting, analytics, controls, and automation to strengthen governance and decision-making.

You will develop management reports and KPI packs using Excel and Power BI, map processes, and drive improvements across ERP data flows while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in finance analytics, financial reporting, FP&A, business analysis, process improvement, or related roles.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills: PivotTables, XLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH, Power Query, Power Pivot, complex formulas, data modelling, and dashboard creation.
• Experience with Power BI or equivalent BI/data visualization tools.
• Familiarity with ERP platforms such as QAD, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar enterprise systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills; able to manage multiple priorities with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities for management decision-making, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance recurring management reports, KPI packs, and dashboards using Excel and Power BI.
• Review end-to-end finance processes to identify control gaps and inefficiencies; recommend improvements to increase accuracy and productivity.
• Collaborate with finance and cross-functional stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into analytical outputs.
• Support process improvement and digital transformation initiatives by mapping workflows and coordinating implementation.
• Strengthen governance and internal controls through data quality checks, reconciliation, and reporting documentation.
• Prepare ad hoc analyses, scenario models, and presentations for finance leadership on performance, cost drivers, and investment cases.
• Contribute to ERP/reporting system optimization by data extraction, report automation, and master data alignment.
