Job summary

Ideal candidates hold a Diploma in Finance or Accounting with 3+ years in Finance Operations, preferably in insurance, and are proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office.

This role involves liaising with Underwriters, Brokers, and senior management, managing premium escalation processes, and assisting with finance operations projects and initiatives.Job Duties and Responsibilities:Financial Operations & ReconciliationProcess premium and claim payments and monitor settled direct transactions in the workflow systemEnsure unallocated receipts are matched on a timely basisWork with stakeholders to resolve disputes and maintain unallocated receipts to acceptable levelsPremium & Claims ProcessingLiaise with Underwriters, Brokers and senior management to ensure timely booking of policiesLiaise with operations and internal stakeholders to ensure the accurate processing of premiumProcess claims, premium refunds and commissionsManage the premium escalation processReporting & AnalysisSupport with month end closing activitiesAssist in preparation and analysis of monthly/quarterly operation reports within closing timelinesCompliance & Process ImprovementEnsure compliance with established SOX proceduresAssist in projects and initiative in Finance OperationsParticipate in process improvement projects to enhance Finance Operation efficiencyCover for team members during absences and perform other ad hoc tasks as assignedQualifications:Diploma in Finance or AccountingBackground in Account Receivables desirableMore than 3 years in Finance OperationsPrevious experience working in the insurance environment an advantageExperience in handling volume transactionsGood communication and interpersonal skillsWorking knowledge of Excel and Microsoft products coupled with solid analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to meet weekly and monthly reporting deadlines.
