Job summary

XANDER INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT PTE. LTD. is seeking a motivated analyst to contribute to growth across investments and finance workstreams.

You will work with small teams, interact with senior management, and handle financial analysis, reporting, and research tasks with integrity and independence. The role covers financial analysis, accounting, budgeting, regulatory filings, and due diligence on investment opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or economics (or a similar relevant qualification). Finance knowledge is essential.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor performance against budgets, review variances and deliver insights to senior management through data-driven analysis.
  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly review reports.
  • Cross-department collaboration for business financial reporting.
  • Preparation and finalization of quarterly and annual accounts.
  • Timely submission of regulatory filings and response to surveys by regulators.
  • Coordination and timely completion of internal and external audits.
  • Review and supervise the operations of investee companies including finalization of accounts, valuation of investments, return projections, capital call & distributions, cash projection and preparation of business reports for circulation to stakeholders.
  • Conduct thorough research of allocated markets and sectors.
  • Prepare and share periodic updates with relevant teams highlighting critical insights.
  • Help identify market dislocation, emerging trends, with the objective of identifying investment themes/opportunities.
  • Prepare high quality review materials (memos, briefs, notes, etc.)
  • Supporting the relevant team to conduct market, financial, technical and legal analysis for specific investments being evaluated.
  • Assist in preparation of detailed financial models, investment notes, management memos, and due diligence on investments opportunities
  • Track investments and investment entities including their performance, budget comparisons, structuring, reporting, etc.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the sector, market, competition and the portfolio asset or company’s positioning in that context
  • Support portfolio management team in monitoring, reviewing, reporting performance

About the Role

The selected candidate would have the opportunity to contribute to the company’s growth push. During this time successful candidates may be assigned to one or more strategies being undertaken by the group. You will work with small teams with direct interaction with senior management and in a flat work environment, with a lot of exposure and responsibility.

This role covers both investments and finance workstreams and suits a self-motivated individual who possesses uncompromising integrity along with strong technical and analytical skills.

A positive and enthusiastic approach is essential, along with the ability to work independently, communicate successfully with co-workers at all levels, including senior management and members of the Board committee. You will get the opportunity to upskill and expand your role and responsibilities over time.

Financial Analysis and Reporting

Experience
  • 0-2 years' relevant experience
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
Good to Have:
  • Previous research internships involving market analysis and report writing
  • Advanced course work in Economics, Maths, Business or Accounting
  • Professional qualifications (e.g. CFA / CA / ACCA)
