Job summary

Affinidi, a technology company, seeks a Senior Finance & Accounting professional to shape financial strategy and operations across its global entities. You will partner with stakeholders to drive financial reporting, planning, and compliance excellence, reporting to the Finance Senior Manager.

You will oversee month-end closings, budgeting, variance analysis, intercompany transactions, and audits, ensuring adherence to IFRS/SFRS and local regulations across Singapore, Germany, and India.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting; Chartered Accountant or ACCA preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in finance or audit, ideally in tech startups or fast-growth companies.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and SFRS; familiarity with Indian and German accounting standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support accounting and finance functions including reporting, financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis for entities within the Group (Singapore, Germany, India).
• Liaise with external accounting vendors to ensure smooth financial operations and timely month-end closings.
• Assist in preparation of internal and external financial reports on a timely basis.
• Review historical financial performance, conduct variance analysis, identify key trends, analyze anomalies, and provide actionable insights for improvement.
• Contribute to cash flow forecasting and budgeting to support working capital management.
• Oversee expense claims and employee reimbursements, ensuring adherence to company policies.
• Ensure tax filings and compliance with statutory regulations (local and international).
• Manage intercompany transactions and assist with banking and treasury functions across entities.
• Help establish and reinforce internal controls in line with corporate governance requirements.
• Oversee accurate customer billing and support efficient accounts payable operations.
• Support annual audits for all entities, coordinating with external auditors.
• Assist in preparation of board meeting materials and other responsibilities as required.

About the role:

We are on a search for a Finance & Accounting, Senior to join our fast-growing AI company. In this role, you will play a key role in shaping our financial strategy and operations. Reporting to the Finance Senior Manager, you will partner with stakeholders across the business to drive financial reporting, planning, and compliance excellence across our global entities.

You will be a great match if you:

• Degree in Accounting, with Chartered Accountant or ACCA qualification preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in finance or audit, within tech startups or fast growth companies.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and SFRS; familiarity with Indian and German accounting standards a plus.
• Working knowledge of India’s financial and accounting standard preferred.
• Proven experience managing full sets of accounts and financial consolidations.
• Experience in drafting financial statements and projection modelling.
• Have a high degree of ownership, critical thinking, creative and innovative thinker, and deep technical knowledge.
• Understanding and usage of AI tools to drive efficiency.
• Meticulous, analytical, and solutions-oriented with strong technical acumen.
• Proven track record in process improvements and automation.
• Experience working with decentralised, cross-functional teams will be a plus.
• Proficiency in Netsuite is an added advantage.
