Qualifications

• Ideal background in oil palm industry, chemical manufacturing, or Big 4 audit exposure.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently and think critically.
• Effective communication across regions and functions with IFRS knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyse financial reports including management accounts, group reporting packages, statutory statements, transfer pricing documentation, BOM, production costing and budgets.
• Assist in preparing management dashboards and quarterly P&L analyses.
• Process payments and supervise Assistant Accountant for accuracy and SOP compliance.
• Support treasury activities including cash flow monitoring, FX exposure, and margin analysis.
• Handle audit and tax matters and participate in internal control and process improvement initiatives.
• Undertake ad-hoc assignments as required.

Role Overview

We are seeking a technically strong Senior Accountant/Accountant to join our Group Finance Team, supporting India portfolio. The role focuses on technical accounting assessments, regional performance analysis and reporting, statutory and tax compliance, system implementation support, audit coordination, and support process improvement across regional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyse financial reports, including management accounts, group reporting packages, statutory financial statements, transfer pricing documentation, Bill of Materials ("BOM"), production costing, and budgets.

• Assist in the preparation of management dashboard and quarterly P&L analysis.

• Process payments and review the work performed by the Assistant Accountant to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with SOP.

• Support treasury activities, including monitoring cash flow, foreign exchange exposure, trade margins, and other financial metrics.

• Handle audit and tax related matters.

• Participate in internal control, compliance, and operational improvement initiatives.

• Undertake ad-hoc assignments as and when required.

Qualifications & Prerequisites:

• Degree in Accounting or ACCA qualification with minimum 5 years of experience in the analytical review of accounts or in a multinational or regional environment;

• Prior experience in oil palm industry, chemical manufacturing, or with prior Big 4 audit firms experience will be an added advantage;

• Meticulous and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong attention to details, able to work independently and think critically.

• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.

• Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across regions and functions;

• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS.

• Knowledge of SAP Accounting System will be a plus.

• Willing to travel to India when required.
