Job summary

Duke-NUS Medical School, through CARE, seeks a Research Assistant or Senior Research Assistant to join a fieldwork‑intensive programme in the Mei Ling/Queenstown community. The role centers on community engagement, participant recruitment, and data collection for ageing-related research.

You will work closely with the Principal Investigator and CARE team, engaging Malay Muslim residents, coordinating field activities, and contributing to rapid thematic analysis and dissemination materials for

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required for Research Assistant; Master's with 2+ years for Senior.
• Experience with community-based research valued; familiarity with ageing, health, or social policy contexts in Singapore is an advantage.
• Fluency in English and Malay required due to study population.

Responsibilities

• Engage with Malay Muslim residents in Mei Ling/Queenstown to build rapport and recruit participants.
• Coordinate fieldwork sessions, FGDs, and workshops; support data collection and translation/analysis.
• Support data checking, NVivo organisation, and preparation of reports and dissemination materials.
