Job summary

Veolia Environnement SA is seeking a field service/operations specialist in Singapore to lead customer relationships and manage a portfolio of water treatment projects. You will coordinate with procurement and vendors, drive retrofit initiatives, and mentor a team of technicians and subcontractors to deliver on time and safely.

The role requires hands-on expertise in water systems, strong communication, and the ability to handle ad-hoc projects while upholding VEOLIA EHS standards and regulatory

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Instrument or equivalent, with field service/maintenance exposure.
• Willingness to travel within the territory and adaptable to site conditions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft and Google Workspace applications.

Responsibilities

• Act as VEOLIA point of contact for the customer and manage the client portfolio.
• Lead frontline dealings with customer on demands and deliveries.
• Coordinate with procurement, vendors, and subcontractors for quotations and jobs.
• Initiate modifications and retrofit projects (Value-Added Projects).
• Manage a team of specialists and subcontractors for works execution.
• Deliver ad-hoc services/small projects and ensure safety and compliance.
• Enforce VEOLIA EHS policies and liaise with EHS leaders on culture and compliance.
• Maintain 24/7 call availability for FSR duties, EHS, and production emergencies.

Company Description

We design, supply and operate a range of water systems, from Oil & Gas applications to municipal water, to microelectronics ultrapure water and heavy industrial wastewater treatment. Our portfolio of technologies includes solids-contact clarification, membrane & media filtration, electrolysis, digestion, evaporation, ozone/UV disinfection and more. Our portfolio also includes chemicals & monitoring solutions, start-up & operation, membrane & ion exchange products, and custom engineered equipment.

• Act as VEOLIA point of contact for the customer. Develop relationships with customer and manage client portfolio; be the leader in frontline dealing with customer on demands and deliveries.


• Work in close cooperation with Singapore Service Leader, service center leader and sales/proposal team to deliver work orders / projects and resolve customer issues.


• Liaise with procurement, 3rd party vendors/contractors for quotations, site surveys, orders, deliveries and work executions


• Initiate & implement required modification and retrofit projects (Value-Added Projects)


• Manage a team of specialists and various subcontractors for works execution. Provide guidance to the team on technical, resources, skills / knowledge and reporting to achieve services excellence.


• Manage and execute ad-hoc services / small projects (managerial & hands-on)


• Implement and promote VEOLIA EHS and Ethics policies. Manage service orders and assignments incompliance with applicable regulations and encourage good employee safety practices. Ensure permanent link with EHS leaders to improve EHS culture and comply to all company, customer and regulatory requirements.


• Maintain availability on a 24-hour per day/365 day per year call basis to ensure coverage for FSR duties, EHS and production emergencies

Qualifications

• Mechanical/Electrical/Instrument or equivalent degree in engineering from an accredited university or college with at least 2 years of experience in a field service or operation and maintenance position for Ultra-Pure Water, Waste Water & process treatment field.


• Ability and willingness to travel within territory.


• Must be proficient with Microsoft and google work space applications


• Diploma Holders in Electrical/Instrument background with 5 years’ experience in the relevant may apply.

Added Advantages

• Possess experience in managing site team consist of 4 – 6 team members


• At least 3 years’ experience in the operation & maintenance of water treatment system or facility operation (RO, EDI, UF, Filters, WWTP)


• Experienced on control system (SCADA or HMI)


• Strong Knowledge on water treatment system: UF, RO and EDI/IX


• Strong oral and written communication skills


• Able to interface at all levels of the organization both internally and externally


• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills


• Proven analytical and quality improvement ability
