Job summary

Veolia in Singapore is seeking a Field Service Engineer to lead field operations and support for water treatment systems on-site at a refinery. You will guide a work group, interpret data, and provide technical instruction to customers while coordinating with Product Support.

The role requires a Diploma or Degree in chemical or environmental engineering, strong communication, leadership abilities, and a valid driving license.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in chemical or environmental engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in water treatment and field service is advantageous.
• Ability to work well in a team and demonstrate leadership.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and assistance to the field service team to meet objectives.
• Offer technical guidance for operation, maintenance, repair and installation of Veolia products on-site.
• Interpret data on-site and convey technical instructions clearly.
• Manage field service programs with timely status updates.
• Train customers on operation and troubleshooting of Veolia programs.
• Report activity and issues to Product Support and Field Service.
• Review malfunctions and identify trends; recommend actions.
• Assess maintenance actions to identify training needs.
• Be the primary contact for assigned accounts and ensure satisfaction.
• Develop strong customer relationships and align value delivery with customer needs.
• Execute value-generating plans coordinating with customer and internal teams.
• Present and sell Veolia products to meet customer needs.
• Ensure KPIs set by customers are met and service standards kept.

Job Description

• The Field Service Engineer provides direction and assistance to work group in order to meet assigned objectives. In this role you will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning

• Provide general technical direction and assistance to the customer in the operation, maintenance, repair, logistic support, and installation of Veolia’s products

• Provide on-site interpretation of data and technical instruction

• Provide Project and Field Service management with complete and prompt information regarding status of programs, customer problems, failures and trends.

• Provide technical assistance through on-site guidance and training in proper operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of assigned programs and ground support equipment, including the use and proper interpretation of data and technical instructions

• Provide communication to Product Support and Field Service regarding all program activities and problems through regular, timely reports

• Review reported malfunctions and identify / analyze any undesirable trends

• Make recommendations on findings

• Review effectiveness of maintenance actions in order to identify training needs

• Be one of the focal points for assigned account for all matters concerning Veolia products and services and total support, ensuring that both customer and Veolia objectives are met

• Developing and maintaining a customer preference relationship toward Veolia

• Execute value generating plans and coordinate both internally and externally with the customer

• Outlining, presenting and selling the value of Veolia products and services that can benefit customer needs

• Ensure that all the KPIs set by customer are met

• Ensure customer satisfaction by providing high service standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in chemical, environmental engineering. Chemistry or equivalent knowledge and experience are welcome.

• Those with experience in water treatment & field service in chemical industry, will be an added advantage.

• Able to work well and excel in a team. Demonstrates leadership qualities.

• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)

• Willing to work on site in a Refinery

• Possess valid class 3 driving license.
