Applied Materials Singapore is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, and upgrade semiconductor equipment. You will use digital analytics for troubleshooting and work with senior engineers to solve complex issues at customer sites.

The role requires reading electrical and mechanical schematics, performing preventative maintenance, and strong communication to coordinate with customers. Travel up to 75% is expected.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
• 2+ years of experience in customer support, field service, or a related engineering or technical field.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Experience diagnosing and resolving basic technical challenges.
• Basic mechanical aptitude with pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum, or thermodynamics.
• Familiarity with hand tools and their appropriate usage, including digital multimeters.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Able to travel upto 75% of the time to support overseas customers.
• Able to meet all on-site requirements, including safety, environmental guidelines, and customer/Applied protocols.

Aufgaben

• Collaborate with Senior Field Service Engineers in installing, maintaining, and upgrading customer equipment.
• Use digital analytics for troubleshooting.
• Apply basic diagnostic techniques to assess equipment and address technical issues, with guidance from Senior Field Service Engineers.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems (training provided).
• Coordinate and communicate directly with customers.
• Fulfill additional duties, as assigned.
