Job summary

Eaton Corporation seeks a Field Service Engineer for the GEIS business in Singapore. You will perform field work including commissioning, installation, service, upgrades and configuration at customer sites, while addressing hardware, software, and network issues.

You will support clients with varying technical levels and travel as needed. Fluent English and strong interpersonal skills are essential, with prior CCTV and IP networking experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical experience is required.
• Willing to work in offshore/onshore oil & gas environments.
• Physically fit to carry equipment on vessels and rigs.
• Experience with CCTV systems is preferred.
• Knowledge of IP networking and troubleshooting.
• Willingness to travel internationally is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field work at customer sites including commissioning, service, upgrade, configuration, repair and installation.
• Configure devices and troubleshoot IP networks.
• Provide remote support to customers via online tools.
• Interact with customers of varying technical levels and provide guidance.
• Conduct system maintenance training for clients.
• Provide solutions and participate in aftermarket activities.
• Recommend CCTV solutions to product line manager based on feedback.
• Report non-conformances and contribute to improvement.
• Develop methods and best practices for delivering outstanding service.
• Establish and maintain relationships with current and potential clients on-site.
