Job summary

AutoveXautovex.ai is seeking a Forward Deployment Engineer Intern to own deployments in live buildings. You will set up software on edge devices, integrate with building lifts, doors and alarm systems, and debug on site to ensure reliable operation.

You will write backend services in Python (FastAPI) and real-time dashboards in React, while collaborating with facilities or IT teams to meet site-specific requirements.

Qualifications

• Solid Python and frontend knowledge with SQL
• Experience with Linux and shell environments
• Familiarity with REST/WebSocket protocols and basic networking

Responsibilities

• Own deployments end to end, from kickoff to a reliable system on site
• Integrate platform with building infrastructure and third-party APIs
• Develop backend services in Python (FastAPI) and dashboards in React as needed
• Debug on site: diagnose hardware, on-device software, network, or platform issues
• Communicate with facilities IT teams and clients, translating constraints into technical decisions
• Contribute field learnings back into product to improve tooling and docs
