Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or related field with 5+ years' experience, or Master's with 2+ years.
  • Strong FPGA hardware and software design experience.
  • Proficiency in VHDL and/or Verilog; experience with FPGA-based systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design, program and test FPGA-based platforms for quantum communication systems.
  • Develop FPGA hardware and software using VHDL and/or Verilog.
  • Own projects from design through build, implementation, testing and integration.
  • Implement interfaces including I2C, SPI and Ethernet.
  • Design, test and troubleshoot PCBs, including high-speed signal considerations.
  • Break down technical problems, plan development and drive projects forward.
  • Produce clear technical documentation and user guides.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical concepts to customers and partners.
  • Support commercial and research proposals where required.

I am working with an innovative deep-tech company developing next-generation technologies for quantum communications and secure networking. This is an opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team working across advanced electronics, quantum technology and communications to develop real-world products.

About the Role

I am looking for a hands-on FPGA Engineer with broad engineering experience who can own the full development lifecycle, from design and implementation through testing and integration. You will work closely with scientists and engineers, helping turn complex R&D into reliable, commercial products.

This is a sensitive government-vetted position. Applicants must hold Singapore Citizenship by Birth.
Responsibilities
  • Design, program and test FPGA-based platforms for quantum communication systems.
  • Develop FPGA hardware and software using VHDL and/or Verilog.
  • Own projects from design through build, implementation, testing and integration.
  • Implement interfaces including I2C, SPI and Ethernet.

  • Experience with I2C, SPI, Ethernet or similar interfaces.
  • Experience with PCB design, testing and high-speed signals.
  • Broad engineering experience across hardware and/or software.
  • Strong planning, documentation and quality-control skills.
  • Ability to take ownership from design through to implementation and testing.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for deep-tech development.
  • Must have the legal right to work in Singapore.

  • Experience with Quantum communication / QKD.
  • Cybersecurity or secure communications.
