Job summary

X-TRA COMMUNICATION PTE. LTD. is seeking a Network Field Engineer to install, troubleshoot, and maintain network infrastructure at client sites across Singapore. You will handle on-site repairs, perform site surveys, and ensure networks meet performance standards while coordinating with internal teams.

The role requires strong networking knowledge, relevant certifications, and excellent communication skills to guide customers during on-site visits and to manage service tickets efficiently.

Qualifications

• Formal IT/networking qualification required or equivalent experience.
• Experience in fieldwork, technical support and relevant certifications preferred.
• Strong knowledge of networking, troubleshooting and hardware installation.
• Basic networking concepts: TCP/IP, DNS, WiFi, router setup, cabling.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site troubleshooting and repairs for network, internet, and hardware issues.
• Install, configure, and test network equipment (routers, switches, servers).
• Perform site surveys, testing, and network performance checks.
• Support and assist in scheduled maintenance or upgrade works.
• Liaise with internal teams for technical escalation.
• Document service reports, issues found, and solutions provided.
• Provide technical support and guidance to customers on-site.
• Ensure timely completion of assigned service tickets.
